Is BCS affiliated with/subsidized by any particular church or denomination?  
While started in 1982 by a small group of people from Bulverde Baptist Church, Bracken Christian School is not associated with a church or denomination.

Is BCS a fully accredited school? 
Yes! We have 2 accreditations - Bracken Christian School is fully accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  

What grade levels are available at BCS? 
Bracken Christian School offers a Christian education from pre-kindergarten through high school (K4-12th Grade).

Is technology offered at BCS? 
All classrooms have at least one computer (some have more) and students may take advantage of three complete computer labs, with two additional mobile laptop labs.  Our campus is fully connected, via fiber optic and high speed cable, allowing collaboration across campus. Administration and teachers have secure, high-speed access to the Internet and use up to date technology in their curriculum in addition to traditional methods of teaching.

Does Bracken offer a fine arts program? 
Yes! Bracken Elementary offers music and art, with choir, dance/instrumental/vocal lessons available as extracurricular. Bracken Middle School offers art, music, choir, and a Middle School praise team. Bracken High School offers art classes and art competitions, as well as an opportunity to join the High School praise band.

What sports are currently offered at BCS? 
The Bracken Christian School sports program includes football, cheerleading, cross country and volleyball in the fall; basketball and cheerleading in the winter; and baseball, track, golf, and tennis in the spring.

What is the maximum class size? 
K-4 is 14 students, K-5 is 18 students, 1st-5th Grades is 20 students, Middle School is 22 students, High School is 24 students.

Does BCS accept federal or state funding? 
Bracken is primarily funded by tuition and the generous gifts of our Bracken family. While we do submit grants to foundations that fund Christian organizations, we will never solicit nor receive grant money that causes the compromise of our Christian foundation or principles.

Do we have to be born-again Christians in order for our children to attend BCS? 
As stated in the Bracken Christian School handbook, it is expected that at least one parent of the prospective student be a born again Christian and support our Mission Statement and the school’s Statement of Faith.

What percentage of Bracken seniors go to college upon graduation? 
Historically, over 97% of Bracken’s graduating seniors go on to a college or university. The 3% that chose not to attend college, chose to enter the military or technical school.

What colleges and universities do BCS graduates typically attend? 
The following are examples of some of the colleges and universities our students have attended: University of Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor University, Texas Christian University, Abilene Christian University, Texas Tech, UTSA, Texas State University, Dallas Baptist University, Trinity University, University of the Incarnate Word, Oklahoma State University, Colorado School of Minds, Sewanee The University of the South, Pensacola Christian College, etc.

What are the graduating requirements? 
We follow the TEA graduation requirements and offer Recommended and Distinguished programs.
