Position Description: Our mission at Bracken Christian School is to partner with Christian families through the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide an excellent education within the context of a biblical worldview, equipping students to impact their communities for Christ.

The Events Coordinator is expected to uphold the vision, mission and values of Bracken Christian School while organizing student and family events.  You will be responsible for every aspect of the event from start to finish to include: sending detailed communications to the Bracken community regarding events, including invites, instructions, and ticket sales; coordinating event communications, marketing, and graphics with Communications and Branding Coordinator; as well as collaborating with parent and student volunteers. Our ideal candidate will be well organized, have attention to detail, and budget minded.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: 

• Minimum: Has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field from an accredited college or university or the equivalent.

Experience: 

• Preferred: Three years experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties.
• Strong Christian faith and personal testimony.
• Prior Christian school experience.
• Proven ability to embrace the responsibility for being a spiritual role model for students.

Skills:

• Proven experience as event coordinator.
• Outstanding communication with leadership and parent volunteers. 
• Well-organized with multi-tasking skills.
• Has strong creative, strategic, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Organizational

• Manage on campus events throughout the year including but not limited to Warrior Rollout, Homecoming, Bracken Dances, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Events.
• Understand requirements for each event.
• Manage all event operations coordinating with parent volunteers when needed. 
• Evaluate event’s success.

Budget

• Provide budget oversight for events in conjunction with the Head of School and CFO.

Working Conditions: 

• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending; Occasional lifting and carrying 25-30 lbs.
