Algebra 2 (Part-time)

Summary

Bracken Christian School is looking for a committed Algebra 2 teacher to complement its qualified faculty and staff. Each teacher at Bracken incorporates a worldview into teaching that is distinctively Christian. You will be responsible for preparing effective lessons, actively engaging students in activities, giving engaging instruction, and building strong relationships with students. You will know how to organize a class and make learning meaningful and an enjoyable process.

Professional qualifications

It is expected that the Algebra 2 teacher:

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and/or education from an accredited college or university
  • Holds (or be eligible) a secondary teaching certificate in mathematics
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Personal qualifications

It is expected that the Algebra 2 teacher:

  • Has a strong Christian faith and personal testimony
  • Adheres and agrees with the school's statement of faith
  • Embraces the responsibility for being a spiritual role model for students

Preferred consideration

It is expected that the Algebra 2 teacher has:

  • A relevant master’s degree
  • Christian school experience
  • Proven experience as a teacher in middle school, high school, or college

 

Academic Advisor (Full-time)

Summary

Bracken Christian School is looking for a committed Academic Advisor to walk alongside students starting freshman year through senior graduation plans and beyond. Some of the duties the Academic Advisor will be responsible for include: coordinating dual credit programs, standardized testing coordinator, student schedules and college advising. The Academic Advisor will also be expected to evaluate students' abilities and interests through aptitude assessments, interviews and individual planning using Naviance. 

Professional qualifications

It is expected that Academic Advisor:

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in education or counseling from an accredited college or university
  • Holds (or be eligible) a certificate in counseling
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Personal qualifications

It is expected that the Academic Advisor:

  • Has a strong Christian faith and personal testimony
  • Adheres and agrees with the school's statement of faith
  • Embraces the responsibility for being a spiritual role model for students

Preferred consideration

It is expected that the Academic Advisor has:

  • A relevant master’s degree
  • Christian school experience
  • Proven experience as a teacher in middle school, high school, or college

 

Substitutes (rotating) 

Summary

Bracken Christian Christian School is looking for Substitute Teachers and Administration Staff to complement its qualified facility and staff. These positions will fill in as needed/on a rotating basis. 

Professional qualifications

It is expected that a substitute:

  • Is reliable and self-motivated
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Personal qualifications

It is expected that a substitute:

  • Has a strong Christian faith and personal testimony
  • Adheres and agrees with the school's statement of faith
  • Embraces the responsibility for being a spiritual role model for students

Preferred consideration, but not required

It is preferred that a substitute has:

  • Christian school experience
  • Proven experience as a teaching substitute in elementary, middle school and high school
  • Administrative skills where applicable for admin roles

 

Theatre Teacher (Part-time)

Summary

Bracken Christian School is looking for a committed theatre teacher to complement its qualified faculty and staff. Each teacher at Bracken incorporates a worldview into teaching that is distinctively Christian. You will be responsible for preparing and advising programs and goals in each respective area, actively engaging students in activities, giving engaging instruction, and building strong relationships with students. You will know how to organize a class, make learning meaningful and an enjoyable process. You will be responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met in a timely manner. 

Professional qualifications

It is expected that the theatre teacher:

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts and/or education from an accredited college or university
  • Holds (or be eligible) a secondary teaching certificate in theatre
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Personal qualifications

It is expected that the Theatre Teacher:

  • Has a strong Christian faith and personal testimony
  • Adheres and agrees with the school's statement of faith
  • Embraces the responsibility for being a spiritual role model for students

Preferred consideration

It is expected that the theatre teacher has:

Lunch Coordinator (Part-time)

Summary

Bracken Christian School is looking for a committed individual to complement its faculty and students as the Lunch Coordinator. You will be responsible for managing FACTS to track, order and bill student accounts, place orders with local vendors, track inventory and maintain a clean and professional working environment.  Use of a personal vehicle may be necessary once a week when volunteers are unavailable. 

Professional qualifications

It is expected that the Lunch Coordinator:

  • Has experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Office and Powerpoint
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, carry and lift minimum of 30lbs

MS Art Teacher (Part-time)

Summary

Bracken Christian School is looking for a committed MS Art Teacher to complement its qualified faculty and staff.   • Adheres and agrees with the school's statement of faith
