Bracken Christian School is proud to offer a foreign exchange program. This past year we hosted sophomore Carlos Navarro. To help you get to know Carlos a bit better, we are including the following biography written by Sophomore Emma Downing:
Carlos was born in 1999 in Valladolid, Spain. He grew up around a town called Puente Duero. His father works as an engineer and his mother works as an elementary teacher. He also has a younger sister whom he gets along with quite well. He loves to travel, meet new people and is very comfortable with strangers. He's not very shy and is easy to talk to. He makes friends easily and is quite the social butterfly. He has traveled to France, Sweden, America, Italy, Portugal, England and Belgium. Some of his hobbies include playing sports, painting, reading and writing. He is a great pet sitter and also had the opportunity to be on his favorite pet show several years ago. He is flexible with any schedule and can adapt to a new environment quickly. He has a unique sense of humor and is a hard working student. He excels in subjects such as Math, Science and History. He is respectful and polite to not only his peers but also to adults. He is kind, generous and always wears a smile. He can speak Spanish, English and a bit of French and enjoys reading mystery novels. He has no allergies and doesn't get sick very often. He is not picky when it comes to meals and doesn't mind eating what is being served. He is a responsible teenager and stays out of trouble. He loves America and what opportunities it has to offer. He loves Bracken and hopes to stay another year.
We are pleased to let you know that he will be returning for his junior year!
