High school students at BCS have a great opportunity to take advantage of unique classes that God has brought to the school. One exciting example comes from the Bulverde/Spring Branch EMS. Through this partnership BCS seniors have the opportunity to take an EMT course and have access to the facilities cadaver lab for use in their Anatomy and Physiology class.
Well qualified teachers teach their subjects from a Christian perspective. The students are constantly challenged to put their faith in action by participating in ministries such as Students And Leaders Together (S.A.L.T. Program) and being involved in Service Projects for our school and the local community. They have been active with the Bulverde Food Pantry, Dig Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness, Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries and other local ministries. They also have an opportunity to gain membership to NJHS/NHS and be elected to Student Council by their peers. In addition, they attend weekly Chapel, have daily Bible Class and daily devotions every morning (except on Chapel days).
We follow the TEA graduation requirements and offer Recommended and Distinguished programs. Preparation for college is also a primary objective of the High School program. Click on the test results link to see which colleges our graduates attended or accepted, and the ACT/SAT 2014 Test Results. At Bracken Christian School we score above average on the ACT/SAT tests.
High School students can also take college classes for FREE! Motivated junior and senior students can get a head start by earning college credit through St. Phillips College Dual Credit Program. Contact Julie Korkosz at email@example.com for requirements and deadlines to enroll.
